On Saturday 24, June Her Royal Highness Princess Anne visited WindReach Recreational Village and the Bermuda Riding for the Disabled. The Princess Royal was met by WindReach Founder Alexander (Sandy) Mitchell who introduced her to his wife Mrs. Sally Mitchell, the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of WindReach Recreational Village. The Princess was then given a tour of the Sensory Trail by Alexander (Sandy) Mitchell, WindReach Board of Directors Chairman Philip Storr and WindReach executive director Lance Furbert. The Princess was then introduced by Sandy Mitchell to officials from the Bermuda Riding for the Disabled. There was a large group of B.R.D. supporters and volunteers on hand and several riding displays were put on for Her Royal Highness. The Princess toured the B.R.D. stables and gave awards to many of the riders before leaving WindReach after a very exciting and eventful morning.
